Great class really helped me grow with speaking to groups and communicating.

    Course highlights:

Just enjoying all the topics people presented and the interesting things hey had to say.

    Advice for students:

Just prepare For the course when it comes to your speeches. Speech should be on point with the time limit.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course because it gets you out of your comfort zone. You learn new techniques to speak in front of various crowds.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was being able to overcome my fear of speaking in front of crowds.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell future students that they have to practice their speeches for the best possible performance. You cannot go to the class and "wing it" because the teacher can tell if you rehearsed or not.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a required course and I was dreading taking it. There was no part of me that wanted to stand in front of a room full of people that I did not know and have them judge and evaluate me on speaking. I had never written a proper speech before and knew the class would be difficult, however Anthony Fotinos was the best professor to make this course enjoyable and meaningful. It eased my fear of public speaking and helped me feel more prepared for life outside of the classroom.

    Course highlights:

I learned that it is okay to fear judgment, and it is also acceptable to understand that most people do. I learned how to prepare a speech and deliver it in a manner that was interesting for my audience. The best part of this course was finishing knowing that I was better suited for job interviews, speeches, and talking to people one on one. I learned lifelong lessons that will benefit me for the rest of my life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Prepare for the two tests because they are more difficult than you would expect. Also, don't fear giving a speech because all students have to do it and the reality is that the audience isn't judging you the way that you imagine they are. Be sure that you prepare for your speeches and know them without having to look at the outline frequently.
