    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

While I'm pursuing my Associates of General Studies, I am also pursuing a certificate program in Photography, and an Associates in Communications. Visual Arts, helps pull my focus inward and the principles also helped me in my Anthropology class. Professor Chatman, is thoroughly engaged with us as students, and extremely knowledgeable in the subject matter. His presentation of the materials makes learning exciting even when you're feeling overwhelmed by the efforts of maintaining the best grade on all the work required.

    Course highlights:

I've learned that anything that happens with people, for people can be art. Meaning every experience can be turned into a drawing, painting, or possibly arrange into music. Perception of line, light, and shadow has the ability to pull you into the piece you'e viewing allowing a new perspective of a piece you may ave seen a dozen times before.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

First, I would suggest you take it with Professor Chatman. He expects a lot, but he's fair. He gives a lot of himself that you're always welcome to meet with him prior to class should you have questions that can't be addressed during class.
