    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

in 2014, I suffered a massive stroke and cannot work outside of the home now as a result. I have gone back to college at the age of 55 as I am disabled and need a career I can perform from home( remotely) and attend online as I am confined to a wheelchair and unable to get around on my own. I am studying Advanced Medical Billing and Coding. I made the President's List with a 4.0 GPA the last term and am still holding my A thus far this term. All with in essence a damaged‚Äč brain. I am proud of myself.

    Course highlights:

I am still in the middle of this course. I have learned and relearned so much already. I have to learn medical terminology in order to properly bill and code correctly. This is an accelerated course, so I had to master in 5 weeks what a normally take 8 - 12 weeks to learn. I need a reliable position where the field is anticipated to create 80% more jobs over the next several years to save money up to and including retirement plus survive on a daily basis. I had to take a Health Information Technology class, General Academic class, Medical Terminology and English Composition 1 thus far. Learning Medical Terminology is difficult, but they provide us with excellent tools to learn with, how to break down medical terms to better identify what they stand for. Online, interactive websites, a Student Success Coach and our wonderful Instructors always willing to be contacted by phone, text or email. Our study tools include course books, plenty of quizzes

Be prepared as it is an accelerated course. I am impressed with the school located in Tempe, AZ.
