    Hours per week:

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Understanding suffixes is a very important part of identifying drugs and their classes. I think that it is important for everyone to be able to do this because mixing certain types of medications can be very dangerous. Even if you are not receiving a degree in the medical field, you or your loved ones are likely to be prescribed medication at some point. Understanding the purpose and adverse affects can be very helpful.

    Course highlights:

This course really helped me to understand WHY my patients are taking certain medications.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

PAY ATTENTION! There are no short cuts. Learn for knowledge, not for points.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Its a required course for Nursing students. When I took the class it was extremely unorganized, and the curriculum had been changed last minute to strictly online, no textbook, no study guides, no lecture notes from the instructor, no handouts--and it was even difficult for the instructor to explain to the class, she was apologetic for the changes. Previous classes told me the she was a fabulous Pharm instructor, and her class was hard, but she taught it extremely well, so I know the new curriculum threw everyone for a loop.

    Course highlights:

I honestly did not learn much of anything, I don't feel like anything sticks out STRICTLY from this class. In other classes after Pharm, we learned certain medications that pertained to the specific body system our classes focused on.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to spend lots of hours preparing for this class.
