    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Its a required course for Nursing students. When I took the class it was extremely unorganized, and the curriculum had been changed last minute to strictly online, no textbook, no study guides, no lecture notes from the instructor, no handouts--and it was even difficult for the instructor to explain to the class, she was apologetic for the changes. Previous classes told me the she was a fabulous Pharm instructor, and her class was hard, but she taught it extremely well, so I know the new curriculum threw everyone for a loop.

    Course highlights:

I honestly did not learn much of anything, I don't feel like anything sticks out STRICTLY from this class. In other classes after Pharm, we learned certain medications that pertained to the specific body system our classes focused on.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to spend lots of hours preparing for this class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

You will need pharmacology in the nursing program. It is not something you can bypass. People need to understand that nurses pass meds and medication is very important. You can do two things, kill a patient or help a patient. So as nurses it's important to know the different groups of medications, contraindications, and how it works.

    Course highlights:

The highlights for this course was understanding the medications. It's not just memorizing, but you have to know about how it can help and it's adverse effects.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the required material that's given to you. Such as books and power points. Everyone studies differently, but I am the type of person who needs to study hard and put in more study time. So, I would make flash cards, categorize the different meds and make silly names for the medications to help me remember.
