Pretty easy, overall.
Course Overview:
I thought this class was really enjoyable. I liked doing the problems and Durrett taught well. He was a little disorganized at times but had a lot of office hours, was really helpful if you asked questions, and often gave back points when he made grading mistakes or if your answer was close. We had a quick 8-question problem set almost every week and 2 midterms+final.
Course highlights:
We did a lot of probability examples related to lotteries, sports, urns, means/variance, Markov chains, Bayes theorem/conditional probability, etc.
Hours per week:
0-2 hours
Advice for students:
Go to office hours! Getting 100s on the exams is doable so make sure you don't make math mistakes.
