Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Being right near the medical center is a huge plus - Duke Med is world renowned. I had a very specific otolaryngology problem freshman year, and

    Course highlights:

I was able to meet with one of the best specialists in the world. On-campus counseling services (CAPS) leave a lot to be desired. There are too many requests for services (mental health is a big problem on campus) and not enough staff.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

When you do get in, they are very worried about liability. It works for people with general issues/stress, but if you're at serious risk

    Course Overview:

Durham isn't exactly known for its Town-Gown relations, but that's largely the students' fault in my opinion. Students who do go out into the community,

    Course highlights:

either as consumers or for service, often find that it's a very enriching part of their Duke experience. Durham has such an interesting history that

    Advice for students:

I find going to school here a big plus. The Triangle is a fabulous pocket of liberal intellectuals. I could see myself living in Durham for the rest of my life.
