Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This school is filled with amazing people. Like any high caliber university, nearly everyone is a brilliant and engaged student.

    Course highlights:

What's unique about Duke is that most people are also social and extroverted individuals. "Work hard, play hard" is the mentality every student seems to have and the culture suits me well. Attention all Prom king/queen valedictorians: This is your dream school!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

A Dichotomy of Standards Across Campuses – One of the great things about Duke is that it has an entire campus dedicated to Freshmen. East Campus houses all undergraduate students during their first year and grants freshman space to become acclimated to the college lifestyle amongst themselves.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

it's much more enjoyable if you are 21 or over, but there is plenty to do in durham if you are not of age (brightleaf, southpoint mall, campus parties, etc).

    Course highlights:

some clubs might not be the classiest, but students often have a good time at them. there is something for everyone here.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Bring Rainboots – Going to school in the South means sunshine and shorts well into November. Be prepared for some serious humidity the first four weeks of school, however! Duke gets maybe three snowstorms a year and then completely shuts down the following day. I am from Colorado and I find this absolutley hilarious. We do get plenty of moisture though..

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Transportation is generally good. Despite the fact that East Campus is isolated from West Campus, there are always free buses available running between the two campuses.

    Course highlights:

On weekends and at nights, the East-West bus (the C-1) only runs every 20 minutes, but once you learn the schedule it's not too bad. During breaks, Duke also runs free shuttles to and from the airport.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The nightlife at Duke is split between on-campus frat parties and off-campus bars and clubs. Frat parties are mostly open to everyone. After going to frat section, many students head to the off campus clubs for some dancing. Shooters is popular on the weekends, and Devine's is really big
