    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class because it isn't as bad as it may seem. There is rock climbing and fire starting!

    Course highlights:

I learned how to work as a team and communicate. I learned new games and sportsmanship.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Have fun and listen to the teacher. Respect is everything. Any put down is worth ten push ups. So be kind!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Be confident! At the end of day it's just a class and this can be really helpful in the future. The introductory speech is rough but the best part is you don't know the majority of the people in the class so who cares if they judge. the group speeches are fun and everyone feels the same way you do. Nervous! but that's okay by the time you have to give your persuasive speech it will have that "been there, done that" kind of feel.

    Course highlights:

This course was interesting. We had a few small speeches with NO TESTS! Mrs. Wood is a delightful teacher. She encourages new ideas and creativity. We've given impromptu speeches and informatives speeches and even made up subject speeches.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Think and be creative. Give people something to learn from. Don't be too hard on yourself. Everyone dreads the class and by the end realizes it really wasn't that bad! But most importantly HAVE FUN! There are many great opportunities to make lots of new friends.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

First, I may have the teacher wrong. It's been years, and I hardly remember any of the teachers there (save Sally Mullan - she's fantastic, btw). But Mr. Benassi does an immaculate job of teaching what makes for effective interpersonal communication, and instills a sense of confidence in one's self beyond the preparatory work. For people who absolutely dread public speaking, this class was near life-changing.

    Course highlights:

I could tell you I learned the importance of eye contact during speech. I could tell you of the importance of keeping preparations down to concepts and not memorizing fancy lines. I could tell you of how I learned flexibility is key. But I think the most important thing this class has taught me is to trust my own words, and trust the audience to which I speak. That knowledge is integral to success in public speaking, and I found it readily instilled in this class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I can give on the course is to come with an open mind, and to soak in everything in this course. It's a wealth of knowledge for those ready to participate and absorb it.
