    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course. The political issues faced by America's Founding Fathers are not extremely different from political issues we face today. Studying them gives context and insight to these issues. And, more than the other courses of the US History survey sequence, this course helps the student understand what it means to be an American.

    Course highlights:

I gained knowledge of the beginnings of the United States, as well as an ability to understand and appreciate the different perspectives involved (e.g., British vs. Colonists, Colonists vs. Native Americans, British vs. Spanish, North vs. South, slave vs. free, etc.). Additionally, I learned to explain my ideas thoughtfully and coherently.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This was an online course, so the burden of learning the material was on the student. Read the textbook; there is no way to pass the course without doing that. Make sure you contribute to the discussion boards, too. They are worth a lot of points.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was an online course. I would recommend taking this course because the professor was nice, provided feedback in a timely manner, and posted grades fairly quickly, too!

    Course highlights:

The teacher tries his best to help to positively facilitate the course in not only helping students learn the content but also learn how to most efficiently construct a great essay paper.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It's a lot of work answering essay and short answers in tests and in the discussions, so it's best to be prepared for that.
