    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If the student is deeply interested in geology, I would recommend this course. However, if the course is simply being taken to fulfill general education requirements, I would not necessarily recommend it. The professor is very well educated on the subject, but relies heavily on labs that are extremely long and specific. It did not feel like an introductory course for someone that is not intending to become a geologist.

    Course highlights:

It was very informational and students learn a lot about how the earth works. While it can be hard to follow at times, if the student actively participates and takes good notes, they will learn quite a bit about geology.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend spending a lot of time with the book, notes, and lab manuals. Ensure that the labs are thoroughly read through and understood before attempting them, as it is a lot of reading material. Furthermore, do not be afraid to ask the professor to slow down and explain a concept again if it is not understood the first time (it will be on the exam, guaranteed).

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I thought the class was beyond interesting, and the professor loved teaching it

    Course highlights:

I loved learning about how the earth changed the way rocks would look based on chemical composition.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the time to study and pay attention in class. That is how the class will come with ease.
