    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are thinking about this class for an elective for the Aeronautics degree, choose something else. The shear amount of work required is insane and you don't really learn anything about actual airport design. There is a large amount of reading to do every week and you have a minimum of 2 2-3 page writing assignments each and every week of the course.

    Course highlights:

I learned basic information about how far away runways need to be, the different types of configurations for airport landside buldings. I learned how to calculate the appropriate runway and taxiway length to accommodate different aircraft types, learned about service volume and how it impacts delays at an airport.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to stay on top of the work in this class and get started on the course project early. It requires you to design your own airport and its very in depth so it really requires you to read the course material and understand it.
