Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course, with Christy Hooser. Her lectures were intruiging, and her projects made us feel like we were already teachers. She was very strict, but respectable.

    Course highlights:

Much of the course content was about the laws that support and protect individuals with special needs, and many of the technicalities that go into preparing and IEP. There was also a lot of discussion on placement within the general classroom vs the special education classroom. The impactful lesson I will take from this class is the difference in modifying assignments/standards and simply adapting assignments to the needs of the learner.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you always take book notes! Book notes should be very detailed as the questions on the test are very specific. There is also a very heavy weighted group project, which you should get started with as soon as possible.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved this class. I loved learning about my chosen field and it was a great introductory class.

    Course highlights:

I really liked the group project. I thought it really helped give the class an introduction to creating interventions and lesson planning. The professor was extremely helpful.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to study and prepare for this class. This will probably be the easiest of your education classes, but it still requires a lot of work.
