    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is important to know the specialized math in Merchandising. There are many benefits to knowing the math skills to do business. Understanding how to buy items, how much to sell them for, and using order purchase forms can make the life of a buyer a lot easier.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to mark up an item, how to fill in a order purchase form to organize a purchase. I learned how to find gross sales, net sales, gross margin, and net profit. My professor taught me every math concept necessary to run a business. I am able to know if I made profit or if I had a profit loss, distinguish the difference between cost, retail and percents, and tricks to make the math easier without actually making it feel like math.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely take this course if you are interested in being a buyer. This course is helpful because you touch base on everything you need to know to run a successful business. I would recommend that you study this course at least two hours a day. It is very important to know why you are doing certain calculations. It is not enough to simply remember formulas because when you take a test you might get nervous and mix up the formula. Understand why you are doing each step.
