Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I love this class because it helped me learn so much about the history of my school. My professor was super nice, interesting, and wanted everyone to be engaged. My classmates were amazing, and I was able to meet more people on campus. The projects we were assigned in this class brought us all together.

    Course highlights:

My highlights of this course was definitely learning the Hampton Alma Mater. Knowing the alma mater is important, because it is sung at Hampton's events. It just feels special singing it along with your peers.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study all of the material you receive from this class. Make sure you read the books that you are assigned. Do not show up to this class late, or skip it. It's a fun class, so make sure you always show up!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course really challenged me with my time management skills and fully submerged me in the college curriculum. The perfect way to get a freshman's feet wet, in my opinion.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Duncan is a unique personality and professor. I feel that crafting relationships with professors is very important and also rewarding. Dr. Duncan is a very intelligent and well rounded individual. This type of individual is someone that I strive to be like and build relationships with. I believe Duncan sets the standard for professors and what I expect from them as a student.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Deadlines for this course approaches faster than you anticipate them. I spent a lot of time doing last minute work which effected my work product. This is something Dr. Duncan noticed and spoke on. The assignments are not difficult. Just pay attention to deadlines, plan accordingly and take your time to do the work.
