    Keep good notes. It helps to write down the high points to have them handy for homework questions. Stay up to date in the discussion forum. Lots of good information is available here.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    This class was great if you have huge understanding for accounting. this program has a lot of excel work. Making statements and figuring out budgets and overhead. it is a lot of work. each week was over 20 hrs working just on this class work.

    Course highlights:

    I learned budgets, overhead projections, manufacturing operations and manufacturing costs, direct and indirect cost, opportunity cost and sunk cost, product costing and accumulation in batch production environment, product costing and hybrid costing systems, Activity based costing system, Activity analysis, cost behavior, cost estimation, Cost volume profit analysis, variable costing, cost of quality and sustainability, Financial planning and analysis, Standard costing, Analysis of direct cost, Flexible budgeting, Analysis of overhead cost, Responsibility accounting, operational performance, the balanced scorecard, Investment centers, transfer pricing, Decision making, Relevant cost and benefits, Target costing, Cost analysis for pricing decisions, Capital expenditures, Allocation of support activity cost and joint cost. This class is great, it can be overwhelming at first and seem like a lot to do each week but it gets better and easier. if you put your all in this class you will come out knowing so much more.

    Advice for students:

    Do the work and put your all into it. it does look like a lot a first but this class starts flying and before you know it you have everything done and have learned a lot.
