Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you want a job in the medical field, you have to know medical terminology. This is a fundamental course for all jobs in the medical field. If you are caring for a patient or you bill for patient services, you should be familiar with the parts of the body and its function. I would also help you to know how to say these terms. How can you talk to a patient about a condition that he/she had been recently diagnosed with if you cant pronounce it?

    Course highlights:

This course helps you to learn word roots, prefixes and suffixes, all of which help you to understand medical terms. Medical terminologies are universal to the healthcare industry. I have learned that medical terminology helps medical personnel to understand completely what is happening to or what has to be done to help a patient.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

What I would tell any student to do is to make a study schedule and stick to it. This course meets once per week and the class term is only 10 weeks. It is very easy to fall behind if you dont carve out time for your studies. Dont let anything come in the way of your reading assignments you discussion assignments and seminar. I have learned that if i dont procrastinate I am most successful.
