Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class gave me a better understanding of what it meant to have an abnormal psychological disorder. People with these disorders are just everyday normal people who should not be pushed aside or ignored. They need help and this course taught me how to do just that.

    Course highlights:

I got a better understanding of Schizophrenia. We learned what causes this disorder and its effects on a person. We also learned about treatments and how many of them do not get the treatment and end up being homeless. I also really enjoyed the fact that my teacher was also a clinical psychologist. She has worked with many people who had the disorders we learned about, so she always had a lot of personal experiences that she shared with us.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Show up to class. This subject can be difficult because so many disorders can be confused with others. Read the book, it gives great examples and helps to understand the material better.
