    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course provides a lot of information on the psychology of being an in the hospitality industry. The course teaches you about critical thinking, conflict and resolution, how to be a leader, qualities in a good manager, and due diligence.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were creating a business plan for an establishment in hospitality, and working with a group to do so. It taught me how much hard work it takes to run a business, it taught me not to underestimate Murphy's Laws " If something can go wrong, It will go wrong" and if it seems like everything is okay, you're forgetting about something. working with a group to start an establishment from the ground gave me a taste of what it will be like working with others in the real world , building a plan , executing a plan while having different views, different goals and expectations. Most importantly I learned how much money it really takes , just concerning labor cost, to run a business. Pay attention in this course!!!

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Invest in an audio recorder, all the information is essential. Its best to be able to go back in listen to lectures.
