    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Microbiology is not my best class, nor am I very interested in it. The only reason I took the course was because it was required for my major. However, Dr Ahmad is passionate about microbiology and loves teaching his students. He is very caring about his students both in and out of the classroom.

    Course highlights:

During the lecture portion of the course, I learned about the makeup of bacterial and other types of cells. I also learned about how microorganisms affect humans. I feel that, as a hands-on learner, I personally learned more from the lab portion of the course. During lab, I learned about growing bacteria in a lab, and looked at bacteria through microscopes. We also went through the process of identifying a bacteria through multiple tests.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you take good notes and pay attention to the tangents he goes on during lecture. His PowerPoints are long, and it gets hard to pay attention at times, but it will be worth it when it comes to the final exam. All of the homework, quizzes, and even the midterm were online, and then the final was in class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is mandatory for pre-nursing students. This MAP course is strictly online and you must purchase a lab kit. I liked that the professor provided clinical information to what we were learning. It makes the class more interesting.

    Course highlights:

How microbiology applies to clinical settings and situations. How microbiology affects patients.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of the lectures and material

There is a lot of information thrown at you, but he makes it enjoyable.

    Course highlights:

The professor is corky and makes it enjoyable

    Hours per week:

    Advice for students:

Enjoy the lab portion and just listen to him while he lectures, it goes by fast
