Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course because it makes you view history and realize its importance in the progress seen in today's lives. Taking this course will change your life.

    Course highlights:

Southernization and Professor Rahimi's lectures. I learned of a different way to view and study history in a way that can be understood better. Most importantly, I learned to see things from different perspectives and viewpoints before formulating a more logical opinion.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Three simple things: 1. Read and annotate the readings before lecture and discussion. 2. Go to lectures (You'll only regret not going.) and discussions. 3. Go over the study guides.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course with the professor because it gives you a clear understanding of the present-day world. The class teaches you the spread of ideas and it shows you the 2 sides of history. It makes you think more about the world around you and it widens your perspective of it. On top of the class widening your perspective, Professor Rahimi's enthusiasm is infectious and his eccentricity makes for fun lectures. There is never a dull moment should you take this course.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were the introduction of the idea of Southernization, rather than Westernization being the cause of the making of the modern world, along with the supporting points abstractly scattered throughout the readings. I learned of a different and (what I subjectively think) better way to look at history in a way that is more exciting yet learnable.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in the course you only need to do four simple things: read and annotate the readings discussed before lecture and discussion, go to lectures, go to discussion sections, and look over the study guide.

Go to TA office hours to improve your paper. It is a big part of the grade.
