Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was an interesting classes that really dive deeper into the cultural mechanics that play into society today. If you want to know more than just those "intellectual" facebook battles of why something in society came about then you should sign up for this class.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to think critically in this class about the formation of culture and society. Yes, there are hefty and often times confusing vocabulary, but once you nail those concepts the class becomes alive. You're able to see society and culture through a totally different viewpoint.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do the readings! Thoroughly understand what a hegemony is and what the mechanics of it. Also, get to know the professor! It helps with showing up to class and paying attention.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course opened me up to critical thinking and really shaped my viewpoints on subjects as well as working with other peers. My professor and TA got me interested into communication theories and extrapolating beyond the norm.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about social justice, how the society decides our social constructs, and how we can critically shift our perspectives in different ways to assess what is around us.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

There is a lot of writing involved: minimum would be three essays. The type of work and projects you get in this course is subject to your professor's discretion. Be sure to question everything about anything and stay wide-eyed and open-minded. Be critical in your thinking, decisions, and word choice. It's a rather easy class and a perfect one to get your DEI done with.
