Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Prof. Stockwell really is an engaging teacher. Her lectures are truly captivating, and it doesn't hurt that she owns a good sense of humor. There is plenty room for extra credit, and her tests aren't a problem provided you go to class and do your readings.

    Course highlights:

Bild 3 focuses on the first principles of evolutionary theory, classification, ecology, and behavior. As the course progresses, the phylogenetic synopsis of the major organisms from viruses to primates is fully understood as the relationship between early organisms and todays life is clearly seen.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It's not a difficult class, but that doesn't mean you should slack. There are pre-lecture readings assigned that are very important to her lectures and the final. Not all readings are gone over in lecture, so there is some independent learning.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Even if your class is at 8 AM, take it. She is so passionate and will make the class worth while. You learn so much in there that goes beyond the classroom. Not only that, but she is generous with extra credit and her exams are fair and just like the examples of her lectures.

    Course highlights:

She does a really good job of including some of the real life applications of the things you learn in class and it's all very inspiring.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study weekly so it doesn't all cram at once. Ask your TA for help when you can't differentiate between different concepts.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is a great transition course for students new to the Bio world and teaches a multitude of foundational Bio information that is helpful.

    Course highlights:

The best thing about taking this class is that it was not too science based so someone like me, who struggles in STEM courses, could study and understand the concepts.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to give yourself time to study and do not slack off. Do not leave studying for the Final until last minute and ask for help from your TAs.
