    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it gives you the necessary tools to improve your writing skills. Skills that you will develop through this course include analyzing arguments, to make an original claim that is informed by multiple sources and to incorporate premises and evidence to support that claim. This course is challenging, but it will improve your writing skills immensely.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to be innovative with my writing. Through the writing program you learn how to incorporate your own ideas to an already existing argument and to be able to "add to the conversation" and "bringing something new to the table." You learn to be a more effective writer and the skills you develop through this course will be helpful to you in the future. No matter what you major in.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Come to class! The discussions focus on the prior reading and you get a lot of insight into what others thought about the material. Discussions really do help in preparing your essays through conversation, exercises, essay tips, and peer review.
