    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was not easy, but it was highly informative and really helps introduce Object Oriented Programming and compute science in general.

    Course highlights:

Definitely making the cool programming games such as snake. Its awesome to build a game out of nothing but a blank file.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Start early, start often. And do the extra credit.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was definitely tough. Many people already had programming experience (Not me). I just suggest that you really DO the homework (30% of grade) and go to office hours. The TA's are really helpful. He posts his lecture slides online. Class gets really hard after first midterm so watch out, I was doing well until then. High avg for final.

    Course highlights:

Pointers and structs are hard but very useful

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I've never taken other coding classes before so I think he is fine. His lecture is clear but we can't review using the slides only because his explanation is key to understanding. As for homework, his "test program"is kind of crazy sometimes. At first everything was easy but after mid it's suddenly really hard, not only the material but also hw.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is so good that we learned a lot in the class. Although it is busy, nothing would be better than learn more knowledge.

    Course highlights:

Java programming especially digital design like windows design on operating system and buttons use.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

It is better to take this course if you have programming experiences before. This class is fast cause it combines two quarters classes together but you will get a lot of fun. Like Rick said, start early and start often
