    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course is a mandatory part of your training at MMI. Still, I don't see how any student could go without it. It's the first class of everyone's program, and it goes over the basics of everything that you will learn throughout the rest of the program. It also serves a nice weedout course.

    Course highlights:

I have an extensive DIY background in this field, but I still learned a whole lot that I didn't know. I liked the exposure to all different types of motorcycle engines, specifically valvetrain designs. Learning about carburetion and fuel injection was very useful as well.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Get a seat up front and pay attention. The class I was in was full of students who were extremely loud and disrespectful to the instructor. Many students failed tests but only because they failed to give the slightest effort toward school.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Prepare yourself by learning a bit about motorcycle vocabulary terms, and get into keeping a neat notebook; without a little bit of organization the class and entire school could bar a challenge.

    Course highlights:

Learned a lot about old and new technology used. I thought the school would only talk about new events, however the theory course goes into depth on topics like 2 strokes and how the internal combustion engine works for all motors, not just modern 4 strokes.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Always be very organized way th notes and all review material given out.
