    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I really like this class and recommend these course to anyone that is wanting to help others with issues that involves loss or even just misunderstanding of oneself. The one thing that this course does is open up your eyes to the world around you. It is hard to follow sometimes because of misrepresentation of cultural differences in our own community and the way that the media betrays races, but if you just keep your mind open and stay strong you will watch the cloud of prejudicial fall and the true understand of others around you will start shining through.

    Course highlights:

What I am taking from this course is that my little community that I live in is made up of so many beautiful and tragic history. It has opened my eyes to the importance that each race has in family and in their traditions. I have learned to see my own pain that I have suffered in each race that I am apart of. The thing that I am taking from this class is that everyone has a history that is hard to swallow but if we just try to learn a little about each other we will find that there is always away to communicate.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

IF I was to advice anyone for this course it would be to look into yourself and see where you are the same and then try to put yourself in the other races shoes. Keep an open mind. The most important part put all other worries aside and really read what your text book is teaching you. There is so much that this can shed light on do not give up.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was fun but weird because you got to learn more, but then you couldn't seem to make her happy.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning about other cultures and the impacts we all have on each other.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Have fun with it and keep an open mind. In order to be the best practioner you can be, you have to be open to other cultural knowledge.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it reminds us to be respectful and appreciative of our differences. It s definitely something that one has to been aware of while providing counseling to the general population.

    Course highlights:

Attending cultural events and actually experiencing what they enjoy.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be open to learning new things. Study a culture that you know little to nothing about and make the journey interesting.
