Pretty easy, overall.
Avoid this course if you can, overall the general chemistry teachers at Northeastern are not very good at teaching the material. I took General Chemistry 1 last semester and ended up teaching myself most of the material; from what I've seen this semester, it looks like I will be doing the same for this semester as well. Study and use other students in the class as resources- you'll be doing a lot of complaining together.
Professor Lykourinou enjoys relating everything that she teaches in the course to her primary field of chemistry, which is environmental chemistry. Hope that there is a student in your class who asks countless questions just so you stay entertained.

Advice for students:
Be ready to put in your own time on this course, some people can get away with studying minimally, but get ready to learn on your own. There's a participation portion called Learning Catalytics, for which the code is usually online every class.
