    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course primarily because of the instructor. You hear good things about general history classes, and you hear horror stories. I think it boils down to how the information is presented and the personality of the teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Course highlights:

We covered (from a Biblical standpoint) information from the beginning until around the 1800s. We covered dates and events and discussed the "why's" behind the events rather than just knowing that they happened.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Like with any other course, you have to want to learn the information. Go to class, listen, apply yourself, do the reading, make notecards (very helpful with learning dates), and go into it with a good attitude.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend it because I became so much more appreciative of history. Personally, I thought that history was boring and not very important. Mr. Zila showed us the wonderful richness involved in studying history. As students, my class learned to learn from the mistakes of the past to prevent from making those same mistakes in the future.

    Course highlights:

I learned that history is important to any major one chooses. Learning to appreciate what those in the past have done for my specific major is incredible. Mr. Zila was extremely passionate to show us the importance of history, and he succeeded in accomplishing that purpose.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of everything. Keeping all of the dates, places, and people in order can become quite complicated if left for the day before the test. Also, ask for help if you need help. Mr. Zila will be more than willing to help you.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Very engaging! Make sure to study hard though because you will end up having quizzes every day that the class meets!

    Course highlights:

I learned to strive for excellence and not to settle for mediocrity.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study. Study. Study. Study. Oh, did I say to study? Well Study more.
