    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I liked the teacher, but the Spanish Department gives some difficult objectives. You must practice and put work into it to get a good grade.

    Course highlights:

I learned some basic conversational phrases and terms, as well as how to conjugate the terms.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Complete your homework on time. It can really add up and be overwhelming if you don't do it when you are supposed to.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Yanire was dedicated to teaching us. She never canceled a class. If you needed help with an assignment and it was a weekend, she would more than likely respond. Many professors don't respond on weekends, so it was cool that she did.

    Course highlights:

It is elementary Spanish. I had known a little bit of Spanish before taking the course. It more of an review for me, since I took it in high school.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

The class is a mix of online course work and in-class learning. I spent time reviewing for exams through the website for the class, which was really helpful.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Learning a language was difficult to say the least for me in high school. While the class isn't exactly a breeze, the way that Kiko teaches is such a breath of fresh air that even the most difficult aspects of Spanish are explained simply.

    Course highlights:

I gained a great introductory look into not only the culture of Spanish speaking countries but also how to express myself in a new language. This class reignited my desire to learn Spanish and was the basis for the rest of my semesters.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The way class is structured, little to no outside work is required aside from doing the online hw. If you are struggling there are a multitude of ways to get the help you need. You can choose from going to office hours, going to a Spanish discussion or starting your own study group.
