    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The class was very easy. However, the teacher wasn't successful in maintaining the classes information, so the instruction was overall mundane.

    Course highlights:

I did learn a lot about the conventions of poetry, and I was able to read some pieces that excited my mind.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the poems beforehand so that you will be able to participate in discussion. Participation in this class is the key in this class to remain focused. Also, you will learn how to apply the terminology when participating.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The material has both good and bad in it, however the instructor was very good at making the class fun and interesting. There is a lot of reading to keep up with.

    Course highlights:

The material that was assigned to us had many lessons in them that we could apply into our own personal lives. Also, the instructor was very helpful and willing to explain all the lessons in multiple ways so that the whole class understood the material.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not fall behind in the reading, it is fast paced and there are assignments for all of the readings. Go to class because the instructor holds very informational discussions.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The discussions in this class were amazing because the other students contributed different meanings to the same poem that you would have never thought of. This cours really opens your mind.

    Course highlights:

I learned that poetry is not just about putting words together, it is also about interpretation with feelings. Not only the feelings of the poet but also of the situation that the people in that time are going through. A poem also consists of other structures like rhythm, dictation, etc. Poems have become so much more interesting now that I know what to look for in a reading.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed, you must understand the poetry era that the professor has introduced. This will help you better understand why a poet wrote the way that they did and it will help with upcoming assignments.
