    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a great course if you have very little preknowledge about accounting or feel like freshening up on your accounting skills. The professor is very friendly, funny and explains the theory very well! He does have a fast pace (so you should always do the readings before class to make sure you understand the terms he is using) but apart from that, he is very good at explaining the principles. Sometimes it is a bit difficult to understand the strategies and principles by just looking at the definitions, which is why this course is great because the Professor really takes his time in explaining the strategies by using real life examples. This course is really focussing on practical situations and is totally applicable to the real world. It will help you understand the "numbers" regardless if you work in the finance department or not! (And we all know how important that is). He is also always open to questions!

    Course highlights:

Accounting principles Accounting Cycle How to create and analyze financial statements and much more! Great course, I can really recommend it to anyone who is interested in Accounting! (not just MSA students, but also MBA, Finance, etc)!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the readings! The book required is Porter, Norton 9e Financial Accounting: The Impact on Decision Making. Look at the exercises at the end of each chapter! They really help to understand the material. Also, the quizzes are great for checking if you understand all the key words and definitions! (Which helps a lot because some chapters are very heavy on the definition side)
