Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because, even though it is difficult in some ways, it is very interesting. There are not many courses that students will have to take that are so hands on. I actually got to experience the knowledge that I learned come to life. Many students always ask the question, "Why do I have to know this?", and for this course, I actually learned why. Knowing about certain elements can help determine if some compounds will be dangerous or not or if a hazardous chemical reaction will occur. Students will be able to know why some chemicals are useful in some situations and why others are not. Chemicals and chemical reactions are everywhere.

    Course highlights:

I loved doing the hands on labs in the classroom. After reading the assigned chapters and doing the homework, it was very neat to see the chemical reactions and processes we learned about in class come to life. That not only made the subject more interesting, but also helped me understand the subject material even better. I learned about anything from atoms, their structures, elements, how to make and name compounds, chemical reactions, gases, and some many laws and rules pertaining to chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My best advice for students is to always read the assigned chapters in the book and to do the homework. NEVER be afraid to ask questions. Chemistry can be a rather difficult course for some students, like it was for me, but you can learn so much and achieve anything you set your mind to if you work hard at it. Watch videos online, seek help from your teacher or other teachers, do extra problems, and never give up.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The skills you learn during this course could be very helpful to you in future educational decisions, especially in the medical field.

    Course highlights:

I learned how chemicals react with one another, the periodic table, equations of molecular compounds and equations. The best part was to determine the different types of molecular equations.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pace yourself. Study as often as you can. Try to relax and not stress to much but learn new ways to solve the problem at hand.
