Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor was very helpful. She took the time to help if there was issues. She didn't just refer us to that student success center like all my other instructors have. Her live classes was attention grabbing.

    Course highlights:

There was several essays with this class and that is something I always stressed over to much. With this class those essays didn't stress me at all. The instructions was so clear and the instructor was so helpful. She illuminated all the reasons to even stress. Also she allowed for resubmitting of assignments after she gave feedback. So you could fix your mistakes and resubmit and achieve a higher grade. This class taught me the five main functions of management. Their processes and responsibilities. Also the different kinds of management for different kinds of businesses.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would say if your thinking of going into any kind of management career that you should definitely take this course. This course goes over every dimension of management.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a wonderful class the is helping me to become more familiar with the structures of business and span of control with in. I never thought about wide or narrow span or how it can affect a company productively or financially. I wish I knew a little more of the structure of a company but I am glad that I am learning properly rather than having a pre set mind not open to a new concept.

    Course highlights:

I am going to give an example of what I learned with an example I came across today. a new restaurant is opening in town and I stopped by to apply. The restaurant is not open yet but work is being done on the building and looks as though opening day is approaching. I filled out the application and handed it to the young guy at the counter. I began asking questions about when the place is opening, when interviews will be held, or when contact would be made. The only answer he ha was I dint know. I found this very unprofessional that the owner could not arm this kid with information for inquiring applicants. Communication is a must and if this owner sent this kid unprepared to talk to new hires he needs informed on how unprofessional this is.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you want a strong start in your management career this course will set you up on the right track. Professor Leone is a wonderful teacher but she expects and pushes for the work to be concise, in-depth, and substantial. I believe this is her way of helping the student get as much information and benefit this class offers.
