    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

College Algebra is a required course, so it does not matter whether I recommend it or not, it must be taken and you must pass it. Take your time, study a lot. When you feel overwhelmed take a break and go back to studying later when you feel more relaxed. Practice, practice, practice! Doing this more and more you get better at it, and suddenly it just clicks.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the extra help videos that walks you through the problem step-by-step. They helped me so much throughout the course. If I was having a rough time solving a certain equation, I would google that equation and many different videos would come up to walk you through the problem. Google and youtube were my best friends through this course.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I was terrible at Algebra, I have never been able to pass any Algebra course, but just last month I passed Algebra with a 91.88%, an A! How? I attended every lecture and asked questions on everything I did not understand. I was fortunate enough to have a very patient professor. I read every chapter and did every practice exercise there was. I would do up to 150 practice exercises a day. I studied for 5-6 hours a day. I had to pass this class, it was my last and final chance to take this course in order to graduate this summer. I did it, and I did not just pass it by the skin of my teeth, I passed with an outstanding grade. Anyone can do this if you put your mind and most of all your heart into it. That is what it takes, drive and a lot of heart to get what you want out of life. Life is full of things we do not want to do, but we must do them. So why not be the best at everything you do. And if you don't get that A you worked so hard to get, at least you know in your heart that you did your best.
