    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Mitchell had a lot of knowledge to bring to the students about the Criminal Justice organization. She was able to show us ideas and facts that were not in the textbook. She provided real life examples to aid in the instruction portion of the class.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the term paper we had to compile throughout the semester. We had to choose an organization in Criminal Justice and find a problem. We then had to solve the problem which provided a new insight to problem solving in the Criminal Justice organization for me.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend getting all the supplies the teacher requests and know that you will have to complete the items assigned each week. If the professor asks to read the chapter, read the chapter. It will aid in discussion posts and assignments later in the semester.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is a great summation for the Criminal Justice program at Strayer. It is more orientated towards management, but it touches on a lot of things that are important in the field of Criminal Justice..

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about what it takes to work in the criminal justice field and how to apply policies and standards to jobs in law enforcement, as well as the issues that those in that area deal with.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The senior seminar project is something that goes on through out the course, so I would make sure you pick a topic that interests you, or it can get boring. Be prepared to write a paper almost every week, but have fun with the topic.
