Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course has taught me the basics of chemistry. Most majors require a few science and lab courses. I took this class as a requirement for my major, and I am glad I did. The professor has a great sense of dry humor, and is laid-back. The course work can be difficult, as I spent many hours per week working or studying homework.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed participating in the group-work assignments the professor provided to us. I enjoy learning in group-settings. Also, being in a small group allowed me to make new friends, and interact with people. I learned that group-settings is one of my favorite learning environments.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

A simple, yet difficult statement of advice I would give students is keep up on the work that the professor provides. There is many homework assignments, and readings that are required. Doing these assignments will help you on exams and quizzes that are throughout the course.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Noyes is prepared for class and he has a lot of hand outs to practice with.

    Course highlights:

I ave gained an understanding of the basics of chemistry. The amount of math (tons) was a surprise. the organic chemistry was my favorite. However I will be able to use this information in all my other science courses and nursing career.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do not get behind! Read the material before class and read the lab too. Ask for help when you need it and sometimes the YouTube videos can be helpful but time consuming. Every lesson builds on the last lesson.
