    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Risk Management and Insurance is a very important course in the business world because it teaches us how to deal with exposures to risk. In the business world, anything or anyone is an exposure to risk and understanding the concepts to this course is the foundation to dealing with losses in the outside world. Honestly, this is not a walk-in-the-park kind of course. This course is required for all business majors because it involves some economics, accounting, finance, human resources, and statistics. However, taking this course once in your life will improve your critical thinking on many aspects of the business world.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were learning how to deal with risky business and insurance plans. Everybody has to handle some type of risk in their lives. Also, everyone has insurance and understanding how insurance works and how it is being financed are very important in life.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be very studious in this course. Temple University is one of the best schools to learn risk management. In the career field, risk management is currently needed, and there are not enough in the real world. This has been the most useful course I have taken as a business major.
