Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The idea of a going to a Certificate college can seem like a waste of your time. This was what I thought until I walked into the school and started working towards their Computor Technician Program. No matter who you are you are given skills that will open new doors for you and give you greater chances at making it into that specific field that might intrest you.

    Course highlights:

CT 110 A+ Essentials CT 120 A+ Practical Applications CT 130 Linux Windows 8 CT 140 Applied Networking CT 160 Server Operating Systems CT 170 Microsoft Office 2010

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Ask questions if you can. I went in knowing not much and I am learning most of the books again by myself because I didn't ask alot of questions. This is also because my mind had to digest the new field of computers and how they worked that took me a while to do personally.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The courses you learn are hands-on and you learn a lot when you’re in class. You must have a desire to ask questions and the teacher is knowledgeable who enjoys helping you when you have questions. The courses that are taught are also supposed to help you after graduation when working in the real world. This is something that makes me enjoy the class and feel like I will be ready once I graduate.

    Course highlights:

Each month we learn a new part of Computer Systems. Currently we are learning about Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration. I am half way through this module and have learned about Administrative options for computer networks. This course is something that will help me manage multiple computers and give specific permissions to groups of computers.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you are looking towards computing as a career, taking the courses offered in gaining a Computer Systems Technician certificate from UEI can help you as long as you put the time in to learn as much as possible through reading the books, asking questions, and working with the other students who know more about the course of study.
