    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it is necessary and important to learn how to take information from a medical record to code for billing.

    Course highlights:

This class teaches you how to abstract information from a patients medical record. It really teaches you how to pay attention to details and decipher what exactly you're looking for to code. While the class was tough, it has also been very interesting. You learn an important skill that is vital in the coding and billing world.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the chapters and watch the presentations, because they contain vital information you need to succeed each week. Use your previous books, such as HCPCS Level II and your first Medical Billing and Coding book. Don't hesitate to reach out to the instructor or academic coaches for help if you're struggling. The best advice I can give is to read, read, read, and then read it again.
