    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend UMA because of there ability to motivate there students, they have motivated me to a point where I can take on any challenge. The support and resources available to me, and still available to me even as an alumni. They are behind you for as long as you need them.

    Course highlights:

I have been enlightened of the behind the scene aspects of medicine, I have only known the stage of medicine, I have learned that there is more than just patient and caregiver, there is what goes on after the initial encounter, then there is coding, and there is the CPT coding, then there is the billing, and the third party submission to which the medical facility gets paid, and that is not including any possible errors made in submission which results in not getting paid, then there is the why and how to correct the error for resubmission. Yes I have learned a great deal.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

To prepare for a great deal of work, make as much time as you can to complete your work, and not to be to concerned, if he or she needs help with there work, or if they get stuck, there is a number of resources available to the to help you with your work. You are never have to struggle with your school work.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because it starts you off in the Insurance Handbook for the Medical Office and the Language of Medicine of the Human Anatomy.

    Course highlights:

In learning the do's and don'ts of the insurance world, what laws and regulations you will need to know for the coding and billing of submitting claims.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

To set up good study habits, because you will need to know a lot of abbreviations for coding process. I learnt making flash cards will help you to remember. If anything do the study process of repeat repeat repeat for memory skills.
