Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Honestly I couldn't decided on which course I wanted to recommend but I feel like this one was the most essential and also one of the most difficult. Learning the actual coding for different diseases is the most important part when it comes to being a medical billing specialist.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to look up and identify the complete diagnosis. There are multiple steps when it comes to coding correctly and I learned with this course the importance of following each step completely, because if they aren't followed the incorrect code could be submitted bringing the claim process to a stop.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep the 8 steps to proper coding handy because it's the perfect tool to perfect coding. Now I'm not saying when following these steps that incorrect codes can't be found. But, with the steps you're supposed to verify in the Tabular list and with that you can see if you've coded the most accurate code available.
