    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

In this class, students learn the ins and outs of becoming a writer in college and read some very interesting articles.

    Course highlights:

I loved the in-class discussions of various material that we read and the essay topics. You only have three essays per semester, so nothing too much.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you brush up on your grammar and get ready to read!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

English is important for every aspect of your education. You will have to write many papers. A professor taking the time to reach you the basics is a blessing.

    Course highlights:

This course provided a lovely foundation for me to continue my English studies. Most of it is centered around writing and learning how to incorporate information and opinions into a paper without having one overpower the other.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Just be respectful and pay attention. Have your notes and essays organized, keep up with your portfolio, and know that Professor McDowell will try to help you. Also don't be afraid to ask other students for help! I edited several papers for peers when they requested it.
