Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Everyone before me that has taken this class always talks about how Jodi cannot teach. I disagree, Jodi is actually the one thing that got me through the class. Com 111 is a broad class that touches on a number of topics and definitions and the main purpose of that class is to teach students to apply these themes and such to life and their careers. Jodi was great at presenting explanation and application of the themes in reality.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course to me were mainly learning about the cultivation themes and how a lot of the themes we basically learned were about the effects on media to society.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY and go really to class! I know that this is cliche, but really go. Even if you don't have the book its more than possible to receive an A if you attend all of the classes.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is a requirement to continue studying communications. It is also a basic course of communication theories, which can be beneficial in future classes.

    Course highlights:

From this course, you will gain a good understanding of the different theories in communications as well as the theories you use day by day without even knowing it. Being able to relate to the course is what makes things more interesting. You will also learn better study habits because a lot of studying is needed with this course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Studying every day and read the book. Reading the book will help you understand the course more than just the lectures. Reading through the notes taken during class, after class will also be beneficial so that you are not cramming right before the test because that will not work out in your favor.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor is proud that many students have to take this course a second time. TA's provide better understanding of the material

    Course highlights:

That some professors feel it more important to make a course difficult than to help students understand the material.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study everyday and attend the study sessions the TA's provide.
