Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is what made the course as entertaining and useful as it was. He really knew how to get the attention of his students while explaining highly intricate processes within the cellular basis of life.

    Course highlights:

I was taught in high school about biology and some of the processes, but it wasn't until I took this class that I really understood the material. The professor taught us about cell division, cellular respiration, -!; my favorite animal nutrition and form.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to review your notes after every lecture class to ensure your success when it comes to test day. Study for 10-20 minutes every day not just a couple of days before a big exam.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because with Professor Nichols he make it very interactive and easily understood with many complex concepts. This course really does help with learning the in depth concept of biology and putting it into terms that a first year college student could really understand.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would be the interactive examples and the life experience examples that Professor Nichols included in every lecture. These examples helped me put the main big concept that had been tricky to understand into simpler terms that I could remember.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you really do put in a lit of studying hours, this is not a class that you can just study the material the night before and then ace the test, this is the understanding of the material and how one part relates to the other, it is more in depth question rather than surface level.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is a requirement for Biology majors at Illinois State. Great introduction to major themes students will be studying in the biology program at ISU.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was learning the entire processes of cellular respiration and photosynthesis. Overall I learned about eukaryotes and prokaryotes and their mechanisms.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you took AP Biology this course will be a breeze. Review notes often because tests will be over multiple chapters. Prof Nichols had great analogies for most biological processes.
