    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

A GREAT introductory course! It allowed me to see the IT supporting infrastructure at a very high level!

    Course highlights:

From basic computer programming to relational databases, this course provides an "all encompassing" view of IT in the business world.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't "consider" this course -- TAKE IT! Not only is it required for IT majors, but it's valuable for any student with a desire to simply understand IT and its integral functionality in virtually any corporation or small business.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Anyone who either needs a refresher course or is new to IT needs to go through this course. This course reminded me of some concepts and information that I didn't learn 20 years ago. It was a great refresher for things I already new but needed the modern version.

    Course highlights:

This course takes you through all areas of Information Technology, what they encompass and the foundation of IT that you need to know going forward. It will take you from what IT actually is and what it covers, as well as touching on networking, computer hardware, databases, programming, and even the touching on the business side of IT.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you are at all considering Information Technology as a major, or career, then this course is one that you will need to go through and pay attention. If you have already been working in IT, like I have, then this course will bring some updated information to you and will at the very least act as a much needed refresher course on some things you may not be using everyday.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is an online school program that encourages you to work at your own pace. Without the pressure of listening to a professor while simultaneously taking notes is very refreshing and the course material is excellent.

    Course highlights:

The highlight is how the course has prepared me for the CompTIA A+ exam. I'm normally nervous on tests, but I was able to pass it with confidence.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

There is a PDF of the CompTIA book which is a companion study for the test. it's advised to also read that book for the best possible comprehension.
