    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone going into a health or medical profession. Be warned, this class is difficult, but definitely passable. This professor provides you with note booklets for each quarter as a step-by-step guide to the course. Even with this, though, he throws in tricky questions that truly require some deep thinking and real-life application. Because this is a class with difficult material, my professor was very good with explanations and analogies to help the student achieve a better understanding of the subject matter. Overall, as a student, you learn so much beneficial information throughout this course. Not only is this class a required pre-requisite for many programs, but I would definitely recommend it solely based on its incredible content.

    Course highlights:

The labs were definitely the highlight of the course! Real-life application is my strong suit, and I enjoyed the physical aspect by seeing and understanding how the human body actually works. A student in this class learns everything from the integumentary system to the endocrine system, and everything in between. I learned how and why nerves fire in response to stimulus, and I also learned the exact location of the lumbar section of your spine. This class is amazing and fills you with so much knowledge!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you study and pay attention in class! I cannot stress this enough. Everything you need to know is gone over and tested on, and if you have questions be sure to ask!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Winters is such a great professor who gives detailed explanations of everything he deems important. As a student, you get to learn new and very interesting concepts that not only help with any medical or involved fields, but are also great things to know!

    Course highlights:

We had many dissection labs that were both thorough and interesting. Another interesting concept we learned, to be more specific, is the effects of smell and vision on taste. It is incredible!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You must be prepared to study. The tests are difficult and small quizzes are given constantly. Don't be afraid to ask questions and have fun!
