Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This teacher is very fun, and she makes the class a lot of fun. There is a lot of group work and homework, but you will definitely learn a lot from it. I found myself looking forward to class, most of the time (I haven't had any classes where I wanted to go every time), and I really enjoyed what we learned about and the activities that my instructor had planned for us. I struggled a little throughout the class, but that was because I did not do all of the required readings. As long as you read everything you're supposed to, do your homework, and participate in class, you will do fine. I definitely recommend this teacher, she is one of the best teachers I have ever had.

    Course highlights:

My teacher was awesome, and I laughed a lot in this class. The people I had the class with were pretty cool too, and I ended up working with everyone at some point. That was the tough part for me, because I am not a very sociable person, but it was definitely beneficial to me. I remember toward the end of the class, we learned about the Gay Rodeo, which is basically a rodeo for everyone but focussed toward gay people, along with cross-dressers. We watched a documentary on it, and I remember wanting to go to one so bad. My instructor even promised to take us if one every came close to Asheville, but they unfortunately didn't by the time the semester has ended.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do your work, participate in class, and read everything you are assigned. It is a heavy load, and it can get stressful if you get behind on your work or readings. Also, get used to the fact that you will have to work with someone else pretty much every class period, because we were assigned new groups to work with probably every 2-3 weeks. You will end up socializing with everyone in that class with you, so if you are a sociable person you shouldn't have a problem. I believe that everyone can benefit from that group work, though, because I know I have gotten a lot better at talking to strangers.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class was an online class. Tests and assignments were set up very well! If you need this class, I would recommend taking it online as well as with Mrs. Patterson.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about sociology. I learned a lot about human society and how us humans function on a daily basis and why we do certain things.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest not procrastinating. Take the time to do the assignments as well as the tests. Do not rush through them, take your time!
