Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Its an intro cellular biology course that prepares you for biotech, microbio, and genetics with the basics. Its a very stimulating course when taken with Schewbach because he got a way to keep everyone focused and teases you in a friendly funny manner when answering questions, which makes class more fun and understanding. You will get the basics that will help you in future bio classes

Everything about cells! And DNa Replication and Enzymes And metabolic pathways

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr Madden is one of the few professors that actually flips the classroom. His sardonic wit and self-deprecating humor is a refreshing teaching style compared to a lot of the death by powerpoint lectures that occur on this campus. He challenges you to think critically and reason through the information; he doesn’t spoon feed you answers. He’s an educator and sets you up well for more intense classes.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to study effectively, and to think critically while taking a multiple choice exam. Skills that came in useful for my MCATs and Medical School Board Exams.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Skim the textbook reading BEFORE going to class. When you preview the material you can be more actively engaged in his discussions. The clicker questions are good fodder for exams.
