Not too easy. Not too difficult.
This is a great course to build a science foundation. If interested in medical or dental school, this course will help with MCAT and DAT preparation as most of the topics will be tested on these tests. This was a large class and did not require participation or small groups. This subject did not require a lot of studying if you attend every class. The material was organized and presently clearly. The objectives of this course are clearly stated in advance.
This class gives a superficial overview of plant and animal biology. The anatomy and brief physiology of plants and animals (including the human body) are reviewed in preparation for advanced biology courses. This course also teaches about the different regions of the ocean and biomes. Differences between dicots and monocots are tested, along with the characteristics of the different biomes of earth. A superficial review of human anatomy was a great introduction to the subject. No surprise test questions. Everything that was tested was discussed in class.

Advice for students:
If interested in post-graduate medical courses, I believe this class is a requirement. For those not interested in health care careers, this is still a great course to have a general idea of how the earth, plants, and animals operate. Review DAT or MCAT biology section as you are taking this class. Keep your notes and show up for class. If present for class, there is not a lot of out of class preparation required. Teacher was clear and concise.
