    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I am currently a freshman about to go into my spring semester. During the fall I had to take BIO 124 which I didn't pass the class. And I really didn't comprehend most of the information she was teaching, mostly because she just read of the powerpoints and I could have done that on my own in my dorm. If i'm taking a hard course I would like for the teacher to actually teach instead of reading slides of a powerpoint. Not only that but I think it's utterly ridiculous to do so. Also, half of the time she would go entirely to fast for anyone to keep up with her. If anything I would recommend find a good teacher for this course that will actually teach you the information and make sure everyone comprehends and understands what is being taught.

    Course highlights:

I did not learn anything from my lecture teacher at all. I learned more in my lab class than the lecture class and right their that is telling you something. The high lights of this course was my lab class. I enjoyed learning and comprehending what i did from lab.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure your take the course with a good teacher so you are able to understand what is being taught. That is something always important to do. Also in this course not many little assignment was given out.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I took this course because it is a required prerequiste for my minor in Kinesiology. I have heard horror stories about how much work this class is. Although this class takes a lot of time and thought, I think that Professor Masterson does a great job of making the material understandable. She is great about having power points, lectures and study guides available.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course for me were in lab. Lab gives you a hands on approach to the information that you are learning in lecture. As a visual and tactile learner it was extremly helpful to have lab every week because it allowed me to fully understand the topic.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Try to get into Mastersons section because she is extremly helpful. Also spend time outside of class to read over the chapters and review notes because it is extremly helpful in fully understanding the material.
